The Philippine Military Academy in Fort Gregorio Del Pilar, Loakan Road, Baguio City prepares the best Filipino men and women for military services.
The location was a little bit far from downtown. You can take a jeepney besides the Burnham Park to get there. And on this trip of mine in Baguio I was able to add it on my itinerary.Lucky enough when I got there it was almost their lunch break. And to have their lunch they have to assemble for formation and all together go their hall.
There is also a Museum inside the area .. PMA Museum .. with an entrance fee of P10.00 .. and opens at 8:00 am - 12:00 noon resumes at 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
There's an area in the museum which showcases The Battle of Bulakan which was led by Gregorio Del Pilar ..
The Pre-War Gallery & The Post-War Gallery
.. and The Alumni Gallery where pictures and name of Philippine Military Academy graduates are posted and some stuffs ..
.. How their rooms look like are also being showcase ..
.. and the evolution of their uniforms ..
.. the Superintendents ..
.. and the class seals ..
Seeing other military academies from other countries is quite refreshing since you are assured that this kind of education stretches across boarders.

IS IT OKAY TO VISIT WITH KIDS WITHOUT A CAR TO ROAM AROUND THE COMPOUND? I HEARD IT'S VERY INCONVENIENT IF ONE HAS NO CAR.
ReplyDeleteYou can bring your car going to the academy and entering the gate .. but inside the academy you just have to walk around
