DANGWA: Fresh Flower Market

Dangwa is where you can find the Manila's Premiere Flower Market .. It's in Dos Castillas St., Sampaloc Area .. There are a lot of stores to choose from with an exceptionally low in prices .. Before, I just heard and passed by the place .. not until I decided to have a mother's day event on site .. that was May of 2010 when I had my first walk in Dangwa .. :)  

 and my second walk is this years mother's day .. just a tip during flower giving holidays .. the place is way too crowded .. and prices are much higher compare to regular days ..

2 dozens of red roses (not arranged) only worth P50.00 - 80.00 pesos only but during valentines day, mothers day, all souls day and other events with flower giving activities it'll double or triple the price ..  

 Most of the flowers came from the mountains that are surrounding Baguio some are from Tagaytay, Laguna, Davao, Cotabato and even Bangkok .. Dangwa Flower Market are open for 24 hours and the peak hours is from 2:00 A.M. to 6:00 A.M.

One of my favorite Pinoy Food is TAPA .. yum yum yum .. And BINALOT got one of the best tapa their TAPA RAP SARAP .. :) .. BINALOT in english is WRAPPED .. Binalot's Company Vision is to be the number one truly Filipino pride fast food restaurant in the Philippines that promotes Filipino humor, values and culture .. I like their kind of packaging so traditional .. At times during lunchtime at work I'll asked a staff to buy me some food from Binalot .. Most of the time i'll have it take out coz we usually eat at the office ..

KOPI ROTI

I have no idea that there's a Kopi roti branch in NAIA Terminal 1 (Arrival Area) .. A day before I went to NAIA i know ill arrive early since i'm only working for half day and the only food chain that i know in arrival area is Jollibee .. I was thrilled when I saw Kopi Roti coz ive been craving for some roti buns for some days already .. and the weather was way toooooo hot i want some blended drinks .. 

well dont expect too much from this branch coz they also sell some chips and other drinks .. a little grocery store in Kopi Roti .. yet i was happy coz i finally had a roti bun .. but disappointed coz in this branch they dont have blended coffee instead they only have iced coffee and not bad at all with the existing kind of weather any cold drinks would do ..

a coffee roti bun .. somewhat white soft bread with creamy butter inside covered with a layer of hardened filling on top that makes it crispy .. just way too perfect to match with coffee  ..

BUBBATEALICIOUS

I was in for a quick canvass of some items in divisoria .. with the extreme hot weather .. and so i went around i have to ignore the weather .. but after hours its time to have some refreshing drinks .. and i saw this .. BUBBATEALICIOUS .. wow tea! .. thats what came first in my mind .. what i was looking for are the blended type of drink to really refresh me .. but to my dismay they don't have blended .. til i finally decided to give it a try coz its the TEA that matters .. They used quality tea leaves not those powders by the traditional chinese brewing. I had their Royal Milk Tea in Mediem for P45.00

you can see how they prepare the drink :) .. and they seal it in a sealing machine .. their it goes!

i love how it taste .. the tea is really there! not the powder type .. Sago pearls in a tea milk!

QUEZON MEMORIAL CIRCLE @ nighttime

On my third visit at the Quezon Memorial Circle, it was unintentional. I just came from UP Diliman and when the jeepney I'm riding at stopped i just decided to dropped by just in time its about night time.

what greeted me are the wide path going directly to the monument and on the sides are the  tiangge's and the small stalls and what i missed the most from childhood days .. cotton candy .. ice drops .. and ice cream of mamang sorbetero!!!

during nighttime i love it more than daytime .. looks more lively with the different vibrant light colors ..

the three angels with sampaguita garlands that can be found in the topmost of the monument represent Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao..

and the illuminated dancing fountain .. with the lights and different water flows of the fountain that coordiante well with the music ..

QUEZON MEMORIAL CIRCLE @ daytime

The Quezon Memorial Circle was established to honor the late former President Manuel L. Quezon. It was built when Quezon City is still the capital of the Philippines designed by Architect Federico Ilustre. When I first set my foot in here it was way back years already and a holy week and we're just into checking out the place and biking so we haven't really explored it. 

a place where people fly their kites, play badminton, jogging, biking, or just hang out ..

to help you go around .. directional signages are visible :)

the fountain where people love seeing those waters go up and down especially kids not minding the extreme hot weather ..

sorry can't help to take photo of this .. a group of people going around dancing i don't know why .. see what curiosity can do .. the guard said they're doing it for the earth day ..

for recreation a volleyball court, basketball court and even chess area uhmmm for the nerdy nerd (just kidding! ;) )

family day are spent here with the picnic area and the palaruang pamilya wherein kids will have fun (it needs some improvement though some grass maybe and add more activity items for kids) ..

during weekends there'll be a lot of tiangge from food, housewares, clothes, dvd's, etc .. the P10 all items .. and a lot more .. check it out!

While waiting for a time for the next service i went around crossroad77 .. i checked out the 4th floor wherein Planet Infinity, Energy Lounge & Senseasia is located .. but to my surprise Senseasia's not there anymore .. but JOJIBERRY .. out of curiosity i went in and check out the store ..

they do serve healthy drinks .. blended .. and they only have 5 kinds ..

The Quezon Memorial Shrine Museum is located inside the circle at the heart of the Quezon City. This is were memorabilia, photos, and Quezon's tomb is placed.

As a family man Manuel Quezon married his cousin Aurora Aragon en route to the US as he headed the first independence mission when the shinyu maru docked in Hong Kong on December 14, 1918. They proceeded to the American Consulate where the nuptials where held. Three days later a simple church wedding was solemnized. They were blessed with four children Maria Aurora, Zenaida, Luisa Corazon Paz (died on infancy) and Manuel Jr. Despite his busy schedule he always took time to associate daily with his member of his family. His devotion and respect for Mrs. Quezon could be compared only to his devotion and loyalty to his people. Even in the midst of an absorbing discussion, he would promptly ask to be excused when notified that his wife would like to see him or was on the telephone line.

QUEZON'S TOMB

President Quezon died on August 1 1944 in Saranac Lake, New York and was first buried at Arlington Cemetery. His remains were flown home in the Philippines after 2 years July 27, 1946 and were re entered in Manila North Cemetery in August 1, 1946.

On August 19, 1978, his 100th birth anniversary, his remains were exhumed and finally laid to rest in the granite mausoleum, the central point of the shrine.

Dona Aurora Aragon Quezon was also buried in the mausoleum with her husband.
