Liliw is the 4th class municipality of Laguna, Philippines. Founded in 1571 by Gat Tayaw, nestled at the foot of Mt. Banahaw.
St. John the Baptist Parish Church or also known as the Church of Liliw was founded in 1605

In 1880 a strong earthquake badly damaged the church yet it was reconstructed.
