SUBIC : Island Hopping!

For a beach weekend getaway we (along with colleagues from work in different department - they just invited me .. lol) went to Subic .. In one of the resort along Baloy Beach, Barrio Barretto .. sorry I wasn't able to get the name of the resort but there are a lot of resorts to choose in that long shortline of Baloy Beach .. On our first day exploration has not been done .. it was more on enjoying the water moment and eating and drinking .. It was on the second day that I had a walk along the long shoreline of Baloy .. wishing that I might see the sunrise .. the beach has a semi-fine sand in gray to near white ..

Resorts do offer some water sports such as banana boatride, water ski, boating, snorkeling, diving and island hopping.

 In the morning fisherman's offered their newly catched fishes and squids .. fresh :)

there are also vendors of puto and kutsinta as well as taho ..

after breakfast we rented a boat .. they are offering us P1000.00 pesos for around 30-45 minutes island hopping but we tried to haggle so got it for P700.00 pesos only ;) .. but do take note that they include the travel time from their time span ..

First Island: Lighthouse Reef .. It was an old lighthouse .. and still functioning .. no one is guiding to give us proper details about the Island .. there's an entrance fee of P20.00 .. picnic in the island is also allowed and there are also some small store selling foods and drinks ..

and in going to the lighthouse I would suggest to climb it first before going to the water because it is steep and slippery ..

the water around the island is clean and clear but the rocks are a bit sharp .. the area is also used as a diving site because of its beautiful corals and small fishes ..

2nd island: Island Noah - I really dont know the name of the island but as the boat man said it was one of the island where the telenovela NOAH was shoot .. so I am calling it Island Noah :P .. no entrance fee .. unlike the lighthouse reef people only go to the island to check on it not to really swim ..

there are several rock formations visible in the area .. 

3rd Island: White Castle Island - a man made castle like structure in the middle of the water .. they say it was used to be a restaurant .. the commercial of the white castle whisky was taken on this island .. the island is just a few kilometers away from the shoreline..
